Job Description

Turner & Townsend is seeking an experienced construction Program Manager to join our Tampa Real Estate team to help oversee a commercial real estate construction program for our client. The ideal individual will be experienced in maintaining client relationships, stakeholder management, financial reporting, procurement and contracting, and successful program delivery.  

Responsibilities:

  • Management Systems –(approach) Responsible for influencing the use of the defined process and procedures by the execution teams as part of their delivery approach at each phase of the program.
  • Information management systems - Responsible for influencing the use of the agreed information management system by the execution teams as part of their delivery approach at each phase of the program.
  • Responsible for gathering and recording of the execution and delivery scope requirements - documented in an overall program charter or execution plan.
  • Responsible for documenting lean, established methods, processes and procedures are used for managing projects and programs throughout a life cycle, seeing them through to implementation
  • Responsible to produce and maintain the overall program framework / playbook – the document is inclusive of the program execution plan and delivery methodology.
  • Responsible for maintaining tools and templates aligned to the agreed program execution plan and delivery methodology.
  • Responsible for analyzing program risk and opportunities trend and their respective cost and schedule impact. 
  • Responsible for defining an overall approach to continuous improvements incorporating strategic objectives and alignment with defined benefits and targets.
  • Support the development of program processes and systems that enable efficient data collection, management, and benchmarking.
  • Ensure compliance to company compliance rules on all projects managed by third party Project Managers.
  • Design and undertake training sessions and produce materials on new processes, changes and efficiencies.
  • Prepare monthly and ad hoc reports on governance performance for a variety of audiences.
  • Understanding, identifying, and developing cross-divisional ideas into value opportunities.
  •  Commercial awareness including the ability to articulate business decisions within the wider context and market trends.
  • Confident leading alone and working as part of a team, with ability to flex according to the needs of the program.
  • Competent user of data management software (for example Excel) and systems for data cleansing, management, analytics, and quality assurance.
  • Leadership experience in the conception, development and implementation of large programs would be beneficial.
  • Flexible schedule to reflect the needs of the client.
  • Demonstrate experience communicating and managing with multiple internal and external stakeholders such as design teams, client corporate real estate teams and contractors.
  • Demonstrate the ability to successfully complete and present program reports to clients, and articulate progress, change, key risks, issues and critical factors in a concise manner.
  • SOX control responsibilities may be part of this role, which are to be adhered to where applicable. 

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in construction management, engineering or field related to construction.
  • Minimum 5 years of relevant Construction Program Management experience within the commercial real estate sector. 
  • A thorough knowledge of Construction Program Management methods and best practices.
  • Prior experience managing a Program Management Office (PMO) is required. 
  • A thorough knowledge of forecasting, budgeting, planning, design, schedule and scope management.
