About the role

Job Description

Supplier Development & Performance Management (SD&PM) collaborates internationally with both internal and external stakeholders to ensure efficient acquisition of goods and services to enable the commercialization of our medicines, vaccines and Animal Health products. SD&PM’s focus is to ensure delivery of reliable, compliant goods and services from capable Suppliers to enable an uninterrupted supply of our Company’s products and services to our patients.  

Primary Roles: 

  • Partners with SD&PM Risk Operations, Risk Domain Owners, Sourcing Leads, Business Stakeholders, and Third Parties in the robust management of our enterprise Third Party Due Diligence program. This predominantly includes being a process Subject Matter Expert (SME), leading system administration, answering user questions, and management of external risk data providers. Responsibilities also extend into participating in governance discussions, supporting process improvements, and monitoring KPIs.

  • Supports Third Party Risk due diligence questions during audits

  • Supports Third Party Risk initiatives across the enterprise in partnership with applicable Risk Domain Owners

  • Assist with the Labor and Human Rights Audit Program as needed

  • Ensures appropriate escalation of risk management gaps, issues, and concerns to management

  • Manages activities related to monitoring of key priorities and metrics for reporting purposes

  • Develops and delivers educational resources such as training materials, communications, and job aids

Education:

  • Undergraduate degree in Engineering, Science, Business or related field

Required Experience & Skills:

  • 5 years of experience in Procurement, Compliance, Quality, Technology, Manufacturing/Operations, Supply Chain or related Business Operations

  • Excellent communication skills and ability to collaborate with both external suppliers and internal stakeholders to drive results and affect change

  • Ability to work in a matrix organization and leverage expertise from other internal departments

  • Detail oriented and strong project/time management skills

  • Ability to identify and lead process improvements

  • Strong problem solving and ability to develop corrective and preventative actions

  • Service Mindset and Growth mindset

  • Appreciation and respect for diversity of thought and inclusion

  • Strong business negotiation skills conducted in a professional manner

  • Proficiency in data management and analysis

  • Capability to adapt/react quickly to new or changing expectations

  • Ability to respond to inquiries or complaints from colleagues and stakeholders

Preferred Skills:

  • Knowledge of Procurement/purchasing processes (e.g., Category Management, Strategic Sourcing, Risk Assessment/Analysis)

  • Knowledge of Supplier Development Life Cycle (SDLC) activities and requirements

  • Lean Six Sigma certification (e.g., Green Belt, Black Belt) or equivalent demonstrated process improvement knowledge

  • Knowledge of cGxPs and pharmaceutical / life science operations

  • Understanding of how to develop and / or improve Third Party/Supplier relationships

  • Knowledge of Finance, Regulatory/Quality, Privacy and Legal expectations for Global Procurement

Role is expected to follow the current hybrid working model.
