What Will You Do
Key Responsibilities:
- Responsibilities Include, but not limited to:
- Perform design analysis (checking) of engineering product definition per part family PD ESW standards and design intent.
- Collaborate with Mechanical Design Engineer(s) to develop Hot section Jet Engine parts. (Ex/ Combustor/Diffuser, Turbine parts including Airfoils, Turbine Exhaust and Nozzles)
- Verify complete accuracy of parametric 3D Siemens NX models and definition. Definition could be 2D associative drawing definition or Model Based Definition (MBD) as required.
- Ensure accurate part interrelationships through tolerance and geometric studies.
- Participate on IPT’s as Product Definition delegate.
- Prepare/Maintain various product related Teamcenter/NX Manager data in support of PW Class I and II Engineering activities.
- Act as mentor/coach and provide training to lower-level Product Definition practitioners.
- Estimate and coordinate task resource allocations including Outsource resources.
Qualifications You Must Have
- Bachelor’s degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM)
- 5 years of drafting/product definition experience with a Bachelors degree or 7 years with an associates degree or 3 years with an advanced degree
- Proficient skills with ASMEY 14.5 Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T)
- U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are authorized to access information under this program/contract
Qualifications We Prefer
- Strong skills in NX and Teamcenter tools and processes
- Strong communication and teaming skills
- Experience in Turbine Airfoils is a plus.
- Preferred An active security clearance or the ability to obtain one
- Active US Government Security Clearance at a Secret Level or higher
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, and a consistent record of collaboration, innovation, and initiative (added)
- Experience with MS Office products

Hot Section Engineering (HSE)
Hot Section Engineering is responsible for the design, development, technology maturation and in service support of all diffuser cases, combustors, turbines (vanes, blades, rotors and cases), augmenters (military), nozzles and associated fuel systems for all military, commercial and industrial engine models and radial auxiliary power units.
Technical disciplines in HSE include Project Engineering, Mechanical Design, Structural Analysis, Durability and Product Definition.
