Director, Digital Security

ABOUT THE ROLE

We are seeking an experienced Lead Principal Security Architect who will play a key role in the strategic definition and implementation of digital security initiatives comprising of cloud and application security. Someone who derives energy in solving complex technical challenges and can be a lightning rod for ideas. A blend of full-stack programming experience with core cybersecurity experience will enable this role to serve as a trusted advisor to key business and technology partners besides inspiring engineers to follow the amazing career path of cybersecurity.

YOUR DAILY IMPACT AT PELOTON

• Play a lead role in the design and build-out of security functionality related to Architecture
• Lead a group of strong principal engineers with core expertise in security subject matter domains.
• Acts as an internal consultant, advocate, and change agent
• Represents Information Security at enterprise review meetings (Product Review, NPV calculations, Production Readiness, Engineering Requirement Discussions)
• Plays a key role as the information security architect for projects and initiatives
• Support the Information Security & Cyber Security Program which includes but is not limited to Application Security, Cloud Security, Mobile Security, Big Data Security, IAM, Data Protection, Infrastructure and Network Security, Application Security, Cyber Threat Management and Vulnerability and Patch management
• Act in an advisory role in application development and acquisition to assess security requirements and controls and to ensure that security controls are
• Provide support to cross functional teams such as S/W Engineering, Technology Operations, Product teams & cyber functions such as Security engineering, Cyber Defense and Security Operations
• Review of vendor products, external (standards bodies, governmental agencies) technology standards and internal IT risk policies and provide consistent model for development across the organization
• Provide expert advice and recommendations for developing secure code through SDLC best practices and building secure pipelines for cloud security.
• Serve as trusted advisor to key business and technology partners

YOU BRING TO PELOTON

• 10 years of work experience in software engineering, Sr security engineer or as principal architect roles
• Strong python programming experience (full-stack programming)
• Experience with AWS programming
• Agile approaches to software development and able to put key Agile principles into practice to deliver solution incrementally
• Ability to architect designs, understand Application security issues and mitigation approaches
• Awareness of Architecture development methodology and frameworks like TOGAF
• Proficiency with cloud security & application security controls
• Expertise in Data security and understanding of other cyber security domains
• Databases

The base salary range represents the low and high end of the anticipated salary range for this position based at our New York City headquarters. The actual base salary offered for this position will depend on numerous factors including individual performance, business objectives, and if the location for the job changes.
