As a Corporate Controller, you will lead and scale the accounting and financial operations of a hyper-growth enterprise software company, ensuring financial processes are accurate, efficient, and built for scale. Reporting to the VP of Finance, you will oversee operational finance, financial reporting, treasury, and risk management, helping to build a world-class finance organization. This high-impact leadership role requires deep technical accounting expertise, operational excellence, and the ability to lead a high-performing team in a fast-paced, mission-driven environment.
The impact you will have:
- Accounting – Own financial reporting, close processes, and policy development to ensure technical accuracy, GAAP compliance, and audit readiness, including the eventual implementation of ASC 606.
- Financial Operations – Oversee customer invoicing, accounts receivable, collections, procurement, vendor management, and accounts payable, ensuring efficiency, accuracy, and compliance with company policies and agreements.
- Treasury Management – Oversee banking relationships, manage liquidity planning, and optimize treasury operations, including foreign exchange and financial instruments.
- Team Leadership & Development – Lead, mentor, and scale the accounting and financial operations team, fostering performance, connectivity, and professional development.
- Tax Management – Ensure compliance with federal, state, and international tax regulations while managing relationships with external tax advisors.
- Corporate Infrastructure – Oversee payroll execution, internal controls, corporate insurance, and financial risk management to support company growth and scalability.
What we’re looking for:
- 10+ years of progressive accounting experience, including experience as a Corporate Controller at a high-growth enterprise software company.
- Proven track record of leading and scaling financial operations during periods of rapid growth.
- Deep technical accounting expertise, including strong knowledge of GAAP, ASC 606, and financial reporting.
- Experience leading financial audits, implementing internal controls, and overseeing financial risk management.
- Strong operational mindset, with the ability to optimize systems, processes, and automation for efficiency and scalability.
- CPA and/or a Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- A player-coach mentality—able to mentor and develop a high-performing team while also driving and owning business-critical initiatives
About the Team:
- Our team is truly remote! We practice async communication and collaboration through various methods such as slack channels and documentation (Notion, etc.). It's important to note that the primary method for communication for this role with all relevant stakeholders will be through slack (text, voice notes, and video messages across DMs and various channels). Additionally, we are involved in a variety of live recurring meetings throughout the week. A few times a year, we come together in-person to collaborate with an opportunity to engage in-person more often if you're near a hub.
- As a globally distributed team, members may observe different timezones. However, most of the team will overlap between the hours of 11am - 5pm EST for meetings and collaboration. All team members, regardless of location must have at least 6 hour overlap with EST business hours.
