Engineering - Technology at Coda
At Coda, our goal is to make our mark in the high-volume payments and e-commerce industry – and we are levelling up fast. About the role
Bangkok is Coda's main technology hub. Our engineers and the tech leadership team are situated in the Bangkok office, which maximizes collaboration and engagement while maintaining the flexibility of focus time for our engineers to be productive.
We are looking for a data engineering veteran to play a key role in levelling up our data engineering practice. Our current team is dedicated to solving interesting data scaling, throughput, quality and multi-region challenges, both with real-time and batch data processing. This involves building a highly robust ecosystem of data tools and products for effective decision-making, discovering new possibilities with platform enhancements, and establishing high standards for quality in data development.

Responsibilities
- Lead and empower the growth of a team of data engineers responsible for building and deploying scalable and resilient data products and solutions
- Design scalable and efficient data platform architectures and ensure technology decisions align with Coda’s goals and future needs
- Partnering with stakeholders to understand project requirements and define project plans for the development and enhancement of the data platform
- Review code and provide technical guidance to ensure high-quality code standards and adherence to best practices in data engineering
- Bridge the gap between strategic data platform planning and guiding teams on real-world optimal implementation
- Cultivate trust within and among teams by fostering strong ownership and a highly collaborative culture
Requirements
- 6+ years of experience in data engineering field, preferably with experience in real-time data processing
- 2+ years of technical leading or people management experience
- Excellent knowledge of data platform development, data warehousing, and data integration
- A broad understanding of the technical landscape of data platforms, products and implementation patterns
- Experience in architecting solutions on AWS or equivalent public cloud platforms
- Ability to work with various tools and technologies employed in Data Processing, Storage, Cataloging, Observability, and Governance
- Strong interpersonal and verbal communication skills
