Administrative Assistant, Disability Resource Center

The Administrative Assistant provides support to the Disability Resource Center (DRC), the Director, and the DRC leadership team.
Liaison to EMSA (Enrollment Management and Student Affairs) Business Affairs Department
- Accounts payables, ordering supplies, assists with preparing time sheet documents for reporting time, reconciling p-card and travel cards as a delegated
Administrative Support
- Answers phones and manages department email for general questions and escalates to staff as needed
- Greets students, parents, and community constituents
- Schedules appointments, maintains inventory of supplies, distributes mail, clerical duties (copying, etc.)
- Maintains student files and organizes intake materials
- Assist with DRC and Mosaic tasks as needed (Test proctoring, pick-up, delivery, etc)
- Navigates student needs and questions as they are utilizing the DRC space
Event Planning
- Obtains room reservations, food orders, and donations for giveaways
- Creates schedule of events
- Communicates with event partners and verification of details
Supervision of Student Workers
- Schedules, recruits, trains, creates task lists, monitors work completion of student workers
- Works with the Associate Director of the DRC and Director of Mosaic to provide direct feedback
The ideal candidate will possess the following:
- Must possess excellent public relations, communication, and interpersonal skills
- Ability to multi-task and maintain a sense of courtesy and professionalism in high stress situations
- Must have strong organizational skills
- Experience in budget management
- Experience in general office tasks and ability to attend to details
- Ability to learn and use scheduling, record-keeping, and database computer programs
- Ability to use word processor to edit, create, and enhance documents and check for accessibility prior to distribution
- DASH system experience

Minimum: Requires a high school diploma and two years of relevant experience in an office setting managing competing tasks; or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
Preferred: Experience working with college students and college students with disabilities is preferred.
