Drilling Assistant - San Antonio

SUMMARY
Alpha Testing is looking for a Drilling Assistant for our San Antonio location. The Drilling Assistant is a key member of the drilling team assisting with the transport, set up, and operation of drilling rigs and all related equipment to drill holes for geotechnical test borings. This job is performed in the field at project sites and requires long, physically demanding hours in all weather conditions.  

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Assists in drilling operations
• Loads and unloads trucks
• Assists in preparing for new jobs, boring layout, and ordering of necessary supplies 
• Maintains and cleans equipment, and transports as required
• Assists with moving drilling rig and equipment from project site/ setup
• Aids in obtaining and recording of geotechnical samples 
• Creates reports as needed 
• Other duties as assigned by lead driller
• Punctual and reliable attendance 
• Follow all protocols and procedures to guarantee safety on the job site
