The organized movement of persons in need of international migration assistance is a primary mandate of the Organization and a cornerstone of IOM’s operations. International movements of migrants and refugees occur from nearly every IOM mission in the world.</p> <p>With movement support and expertise, Resettlement and Movement Management (RMM) contributes to Department of Mobility Pathways and Inclusion (DMPI) and institutional coherence on regular pathways. RMM supports resettlement and complementary pathways movements, as well as international movement arrangements across the Organization’s service areas for return, repatriation, humanitarian movements and others. IOM movements occur in nearly all of IOM’s 175 Member States. The RMM Headquarters (HQ) Movement Operations Unit supports IOM operations across the spectrum of the Organization's programmes by maintaining a global network of air transport options and providing tools and training to operations staff to ensure IOM’s comparative advantage in transporting migrants and refugees throughout the world safely, smoothly and cost-effectively. A critical resource of the Organization in doing so is the development and maintenance of global air transport agreements offering preferential fares and conditions of service for passengers travelling under IOM auspices.</p> <p>Under the direct supervision of the Head, Resettlement and Movement Management Unit, and overall supervision of the Head, Movement, Resettlement and Labor Pathways Division, the Senior Movement Operations Manager will be responsible and accountable for the negotiations and management of the Organization’s global airline and travel systems agreements with major airline and other travel industry providers to implement air movement operations. They will represent IOM in negotiations with airlines and other travel industry providers and provide strategic and tactical assistance and expert guidance, on air and any other type of movement operations, as well as RMM proprietary tools, to Country Offices (COs) and HQs. </p> <p>1.
