Overview

We are seeking an experienced Finance/Accounting professional to oversee and manage departmental operational and capital budgets. This individual will interact with department leaders to review budgets plans and forecasts, ensuring appropriate reporting and measures are in place to meet stated goals. Additional responsibilities include leading the development of budgets and business justifications, identifying and implementing process efficiencies and providing expert assistance in meeting accounting and finance requirements of the Company as well as to provide assistance in identifying efficiency and effectiveness opportunities.
The role will be the key point of contact and partner with the Finance/Accounting teams and other company departments.
A Day In The Life:
Manages Financial Planning, Budgeting, and Forecasting:
- Assist with the monthly re-forecast of IT Projects
- Prepare sub-schedules and conduct necessary research to explain variances
- Conduct pre-meetings with IT team in preparation for monthly forecast meeting with sponsors
- Provide daily advisory to IT pyramid on all financial matters
- Run AP data queries in Cognos
- Analyze monthly invoice payments versus budget commitments
- Prepare and analyze additional operational reporting/analytics and ad hoc requests as directed by the IT pyramid and/or IT Finance
- Assist IT pyramid in development of Annual Expense and Capital Budgets
- Develop reporting analytics to provide IT budget owners with the tools necessary to manage their expenses versus Plan
- Serve as IT/Corporate Finance liaison in all budgeting meetings and activities
- Support the development, coordination, and approvals of required Capex expenditure request documentation (Financials; Executive Summary business justifications; Signatures)
- Assist in the preparation of Business Case and Cost / Benefit analyses
To Be Successful You Should Possess:
Education: 4 year Accounting/Finance degree preferred
Experience: Minimum 2-5 years related Accounting/Finance – preference is 5+ years
Skills and Abilities: Advanced Excel user; Proficiency in computerized accounting applications; Prior budgeting/forecasting experience a plus
