We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Financial Analyst to join our finance team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in supporting AMC’s financial planning and analysis efforts, ensuring the organization remains financially sound and capable of achieving its mission. This position involves working closely with various departments to provide financial insights and support strategic decision-making. This job would be remote, but with the ability to go to Boston as needed

What you’ll be doing at AMC

  • Financial Planning & Analysis: Assist in the development and monitoring of annual budgets, forecasts, and long-term financial plans. Analyze variances and provide recommendations for improvement. 
  • Data Analysis & Reporting: Compile, analyze, and interpret financial data to prepare reports for management and the Finance Committee. Identify trends, insights, and opportunities for cost savings and revenue enhancement. 
  • Grant Management: Support the financial tracking and reporting of grants and contracts, ensuring compliance with funding requirements and assisting program managers in budget development. 
  • Financial Modeling: Help develop and maintain financial models to assess the impact of various scenarios and support strategic initiatives. 
  • Collaboration: Work closely with program and operations teams to provide financial guidance and support, facilitating informed decision-making throughout the organization. 
  • Continuous Improvement: Identify opportunities to enhance financial processes and systems, contributing to greater efficiency and accuracy in financial reporting. 

Qualifications

What AMC Is Looking For

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field 
  • 0-2 years of experience in financial analysis, preferably in the non-profit sector. 
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with keen attention to detail. 
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel and financial software  
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills; ability to work collaboratively across teams. 
  • Passion for the outdoors and commitment to AMC’s mission and values. 

What AMC Can Offer You

Salary: 

Boston based: $59,940-$80,937

Remote/ Other USA based locations: $52,122- $70,380

We are committed to fair compensation practices. The initial salary represents our starting point, and our compensation philosophy is designed to reward and recognize the contributions of our employees as they grow within the organization. External candidates typically begin their journey with us at the starting point of the salary range. The final compensation offer will be based on factors such as experience, education, competencies, and geographic differential relevant to the position, and will be discussed during the interview process.
