This position is Onsite located in San Diego, CA. We are unable to accommodate a full-time remote arrangement.
What you'll get to do:
- Develops supply chain strategy and leads activities for GSC in all phases of the Northrop Grumman Business Acquisition Process (BAP), working with program and other cross-functional team members from requirements establishment through final material deliveries
- Manages the GSC scope for multifaceted program(s), proposal through close-out; coordinates interdepartmental activity, facilitates internal/external team communication, coordinates with Suppliers, and integrates efforts across all GSC functions
- Coordinates cross-functionally (with all program functions) to ensure supply chain commitments are established, accomplished and that appropriate integrated mitigation or opportunity plans are developed and executed
- Leads supply chain execution and is accountable for horizontal and vertical integration, resource planning, material cost, forecasting, schedule performance, risk/opportunity and issue management, supplier performance, and issue resolution
- Aligns project scope and deliverables with customer requirements and works closely with the technical community
- Demonstrates problem solving skills in supply chain, business management, operations, logistics, engineering, or program management
- Regularly briefs the GSC Program Management team and program leadership on GSC activity status and issues affecting program performance: Cost, risks and opportunities, and schedule
- Will be involved in special projects and continuous improvement activities
- Mentor other team members on procedural best practices with an eye for maximum cost/schedule/performance efficiencies
Basic Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree with at least 8 years of experience, or Master’s Degree with at least 6 years of experience in Supply Chain Management, Program/Project Management, Engineering, Business Management, or a related field
- Direct experience working in Supply Chain / Logistics
- Experience with SAP or similar Material Requirements Planning (MRP) system(s)
- Experience in working with or in the areas of supplier financial reporting/forecasting, contracting/subcontracting, or supplier/program/product scheduling
- Experience with or in-depth knowledge of Federal and Defense Contracting requirements including FAR/DFARS/ITAR
- US Citizenship
- Ability to obtain a secret clearance
Preferred Qualifications:
- Active Secret or Top-Secret Security Clearance
- Master’s Degree
- Significant experience with SAP or similar Material Requirements Planning (MRP) system(s)
- Highly proficient level of experience with Excel and ability to demonstrate strong analytical skills
- Experience in Earned Value Management methodology and subject matter
- Control Account Manager (CAM)
