Job Duties
Organizational Objective: To provide services which ensure a fair, equitable and quality working and learning environment for all employees and members of the university community; to proactively and creatively provide all customers with superior, innovation, and cost-effective programs and services; to continuously seek and supply all customers with the opportunities and resources needed to enhance their knowledge, skills and abilities so they may better support the mission of the university.
. Purpose of Position: To establish and manage a portfolio of non-degree education and training programs, including
community and professional education and pathways programs for NSU and the Joint School of Public Health at ODU
and NSU.
Core Responsibilities
- Development and management of education and training programs
- Management of multiple projects or programs
- Project team development, leadership and supervision
- Financial and budget management
- Establishment of standards, policies and procedures
- Development, execution and analysis of strategic plans
- Management of stakeholders
- Development and implementation of communication strategies and plans
- Network building and support
Minimum Qualifications
- Effective interpersonal and communication skills
- Strong skills in leadership, team building, and collaboration
- Superior analytical and reporting skills
- Initiate and execute plans in a high-paced environment
- Demonstrated working knowledge of relevant best practices
- Demonstrated ability to effectively develop and execute strategic plans
- Ability to manage and build human and financial resources
- Mastery of program / project management tools and techniques
- A master’s degree in education, business, healthcare administration or related field
- At least five (5) years of related experience
- At least three (3) years of project management experience
- Demonstrated success building workforce development or training programs
Additional Considerations
- A degree in public health or related field
- Experience in higher education
- Experience with instructional design
- Experience with learning management systems or digital learning platforms
