The duties of this position are performed primarily at our central office in Salem, as well as remotely at district locations as required when business or operational needs are dependent on onsite activities

What we are looking for:

As the Fiscal Analyst 1 you will provide program support for the fiscal operations for ODF’s Facilities Capital Management, Motor Pool, and Wireless Communication programs.  These interdependent programs require the coordination, monitoring and management of diverse revenue streams and distinct internal service and investment accounts.  This position also provides oversight, advice and recommendations to assist leadership in the development and monitoring of fiscal year budgets, project resource needs, and implementation of solutions to resolve budgetary issues. 

Minimum Qualifications:

A Bachelor's Degree in Business, Public or Non-Profit Management, Finance, Accounting or a related degree (such as Public Policy, Political Science, Public Administration, Economics or other analytical or technical degree).
OR
Three years experience in management, policy or program analysis, or technical-level budgetary support activities.

Note: Driver’s License Check - This position requires the operation of a state vehicle for the purpose of conducting official State business. If your license is from outside Oregon, you must submit at least a three-year court/DMV printout.  If you have an Oregon driver’s license, a record check will be conducted on the top candidate to ensure a valid license and acceptable driving record.

Desired Skills:

  • Ability to make a strong analytical assessment of facts and figures.
  • Ability to work independently.
  • Advanced skills in Excel, systems queries, processing, and reporting.
  • Understanding of computer-based asset management system (Asset Works).
  • Ability to monitor, reconcile, and verify financial data and coding activities across program accounts and sub-accounts.
  • Ability to collaborate with program staff on analysis and development of forecasting models for short- and long-term equipment replacement planning.
