The Business Systems Architect role is opened within Regulatory Systems and Innovation team, part of Global Regulatory Operations (GRO). As Business Systems Architect you will play a crucial role in designing and overseeing the architecture of our business systems. Partnering with the leadership team, GSK Tech teams and stakeholders across the organisation, you will understand business requirements, assess current systems and processes, and design comprehensive solutions that align with GSK’s strategic goals. This role requires a deep understanding of both business operations and technology as well as strong analytical and communication skills.

In this role you will
- Partner with PMO Director and Systems and Innovation team to understand, analyse and prioritise the intake of new work, ensuring value realisation.
- Analyse existing systems, processes, data, and technologies to identify areas for improvement and optimization.
- Collaborate with business stakeholders across the organisation to understand their needs, goals, and challenges. Lead collaborative sessions and workshops as needed.
- Design and develop comprehensive business systems architecture that meets the needs of Global Regulatory Operations and aligns with GSK company strategic goals. Create detailed specifications, diagrams and documentation for business systems architecture.
- Act as conduit between Business and Technical teams. Support GSK Process functions to ensure alignment and understanding of planned initiatives, translating complex technical concepts for non-technical users.
- Contribute to impact assessment and partner with Process, Data and Business Change teams as needed to ensure seamless delivery into the business with minimal disruption to end users and business operations.

Basic Qualifications & Skills:
We are looking for professionals with these required skills to achieve our goals:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Technical – Computer Science, Information Systems, Software Engineering, and similar disciplines
- Proven experience as a business systems architect or a similar role in designing and implementing business systems architecture.
- Strong understanding of business processes, operations, and technology solutions
- Proficiency in system design tools, enterprise architecture frameworks, and project management methodologies
- Knowledge and experience of Regulatory Affairs/Operations processed and systems, including the validation requirements associated with GxP systems.
- Knowledge and experience of agile methodologies and framework such as Scaled Agile Framework
Preferred Qualifications & Skills:
Please note the following skills are not necessary, just preferred, if you do not have them, please still apply:
- Master’s Degree in Technical – Computer Science, Information Systems, Software Engineering, and similar disciplines
- Certification in relevant technologies or frameworks (e.g. TOGAF, SAFe Architect) is a plus.
- Strong knowledge of data management practices, including data integration and data migration
- Excellent attention to detail and commitment to deliver high quality output, even under pressure.
- Ability to work collaboratively with cross functional teams and stakeholders, and to interact effectively with all levels of personnel in an interdisciplinary and matrix environment.
- Experience in driving organizational change to support new system implementations and process improvements.
