Job Summary:

Establishes performance expectations for the real estate strategy for Adventist Health's real estate assets. Develops and implements standards and oversight for the real estate function, tracks and manages results, and creates policies aligned with the organization's strategic goals. Advises senior leadership and partners with market leadership for real estate activities. Focuses on building capabilities, ensuring financial performance, and optimizing real estate assets.

Job Requirements:

Education and Work Experience:

  • Bachelor's Degree in business or equivalent combination of education/related experience: Required
  • Master's degree: Preferred
  • Seven years' experience in healthcare real estate or related function: Preferred
  • Five years' leadership experience: Preferred

Essential Functions:

  • Oversees the real estate portfolio by asset class and providing input on financing strategy. Develops the organization's real estate strategy for various aspects of real estate holdings. Manages the real estate operating budget and capital plan to maintain and grow Adventist Health's real estate assets.
  • Manages lease transaction projects from start to finish, including market analysis, financial analysis, negotiations, and approvals. Oversees the energy management program and ensure that the company is compliant with regulatory requirements. Develops plans to enhance the energy infrastructure supporting ESG initiatives.
  • Directs, supervises, and evaluates staff, holding them accountable for achieving targets. Focuses on staff development and continuous quality improvement.
  • Builds strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders. Partners with market leadership for creating plans to improve real estate assets. Collaborates with senior management for real estate strategy. Develops relationships with vendors such as property management companies and related organizations to support the real estate vision.
  • Drives financial and performance outcomes to meet organizational objectives. Prepares and presents reports to senior management. Collaborates with the accounting team on real estate affairs.
  • Performs other job-related duties as assigned.
