In our Electric Vehicle Systems business line (EVS) we develop and manufacture battery systems from 48V up to High Voltage for automotive and industrial applications. Valmet Automotive covers the full range from contract manufacturing to a TIER1 system supplier.

Here’s where you’ll make an impact:
 

In this position you will be leading the In/outbound logistics operations in Uusikaupunki EV battery manufacturing plant. The +50 people Logistic team plays also central role in production capacity planning with our customers and EV manufacturing operations. We value end-to- end supply chain experience where on time delivery matters in and out. At the same time we expect to be an coaching and inspiring team lead with ability to recognize and motivate improvements in your organization.

Preplanning, forecasting, organizing and daily execution are naturally at the heart of this job role. Achieving agreed targets supporting ongoing projects and serial production will lead the way forward.

As an ideal candidate for this position, you have solid back ground on working with in industrial and international logistics principal processes and operations where delivery performance matters with positive can-do -attitude. Demonstrations of result oriented leadership skills is a sure benefit. Your earlier ERP / WMS system knowledge,  utilization and development projects will be also valuable asset. You will be reporting to Production Director.

 

 

We hope that you would have:

 

• MSc/BSc in the field of business, logistics, information technology, technical and/or previous work experience in logistics, project management and/or leading logistics operations
• Strong people management skills with good interaction and communication
• Excellent time and project management skills
• Self-guided and result-driven working method
• Systematical, analytical and solution-oriented mindset
• Excellent presentation, documentation and planning skills
• Ability to extensively understand complex processes and workflows
• Excellent skills with SAP, MS Office programs
• Fluent written and spoken Finnish and English is required, additionally German skills are an asset
