About the role:
The Quality Engineering Architect will play a critical role in the development and delivery of high-quality applications and back-end services for the Digital Banking Solutions business. As a QE Architect, you will be responsible for executing against the Digital Quality Strategy and implementing the supporting architecture and frameworks to enable developers and quality engineers to implement fast reliable test coverage and quality gates that run in CI/CD pipelines. The QE Architect will work closely with development, QE, devops, digital enablement teams and product teams to drive initiatives that enhance overall testing effectiveness and efficiency. The ideal candidate will have strong coding skills, experience with containerization and CI/CD pipelines, test frameworks that support mobile, web, and API testing, and a deep understanding of Quality Engineering and testing best practices.

 
What you will be doing:

·         Drive a culture of continuous improvement in Quality and help teams increase productivity and foster innovation.

·         Develop automated test frameworks and tools that will enable developers and quality engineers to implement fast reliable test coverage and quality gates that run in CI/CD pipelines.

·         Evaluate third-party testing tools, services, and vendors, build proofs of concepts and write technical points of view for adoption based on quality, cost-effectiveness, and alignment with organizational goals.

·         Keep up to date with industry trends and emerging technologies in the testing space, bringing innovative ideas and testing best practices to drive continuous improvement.

·         Demonstrated ability to innovate and leverage new technologies, tools, and techniques to solve complex technical challenges in testing, test environments and test data.

·         Ensure the integration of QE frameworks into CI/CD pipelines, with quality gates, to enable continuous testing and delivery.

·         Actively participate in continuous grooming and execution of the Quality Engineering Enablement Roadmap.

·         Drive initiatives that deliver upon the strategic Quality goals and strategy for Digital to enhance test coverage, efficiency and effectiveness.

·         Act as a subject matter expert on testing best practices with a shift-left approach. Provide technical guidance to stakeholders on test automation strategies and best practices and contribute to technical documentation and knowledge sharing efforts.

·         Collaborate with development, QE, DevOps, product management, and other teams to align quality goals and drive continuous improvement in quality.

·         Champion a culture of innovation, creativity, and excellence in Quality within the Digital teams, fostering collaboration and a positive work environment.

What you will need:

·         Advanced knowledge of full SDLC and test automation best practices for large scale API-based software products and Web and Mobile front-ends, with a focus on CI/CD practices and automated testing

·         Expertise in test automation frameworks (Cypress, Appium, Jest)

·         Extensive hands-on experience with UI and API test automation.

·         Proficient in JavaScript and Java

·         Advanced knowledge in Contract and integration testing.
