About the role

Description

Stargate Charter School is looking for an Administrative Support Coordinator to oversee the planning and coordination of our Athletics program and other student activities. 


To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty and responsibility in a satisfactory manner while possessing a keen understanding of the needs of students as well as an appreciation for their common struggles and issues. Therefore, commitment to the school and its mission is essential.


This is a full-time 12 month position, with an annual salary ranging from $50,000.00 to $60,000.00, depending on experience and education level. Benefits include employer paid medical, dental, STD, LTD, life insurance, and paid time off; other optional benefits plans, like vision, life and AD&D insurance are available and paid by employee. Requirements

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Provide support, coordinating and assisting with meetings, activities, functions and events including, but not limited to coordinating dates, appointments, refreshments, creating and printing programs, flyers, agendas, minutes, etc.
  • Supporting school administration and the athletic director with various duties, including scheduling, coordinating camp offerings, and managing athletic/activities calendar.
  • Serve as the school's point of contact for the lunch program.
  • Duties include assigning tasks, coordinating coverage, overseeing activities and special projects.
  • Provide information and services to students, parents, guardians, staff and the community as required or requested. Receive and respond to inquiries and concerns regarding athletics and/or school activities. Make information available to others as needed.
  • Oversee coaching staff compliance.
  • Maintain athletic equipment inventory.
  • Organize field trip and athletic events transportation
  • May serve as back-up for all office support staff as needed.
  • Perform other job-related duties as assigned.

Education and Work Experience:

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Must be a minimum of 18 years old.
  • Minimum of four years of experience in clerical support or similar positions.
  • Understanding of or willingness to learn CHSAA and CHSCA operations.
  • Experience working with students is preferred.
  • CPR and First Aid certifications are preferred.
  • School RN Medication and Procedure Delegation and Health Aide training may be required.
  • Criminal background check required for hire.

  • Ability to communicate, interact and work effectively and cooperatively with all people including those from diverse ethnic and educational backgrounds.
  • Ability to recognize the importance of safety in the workplace, follow safety rules, practice safe work habits, utilize appropriate safety equipment and report unsafe conditions to the appropriate administrator.
  • Operating knowledge of and experience with personal computers and peripherals.
  • Operating knowledge of and experience with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Access) and Google applications, including G-Suite management.
  • Operating knowledge of and experience with typical office equipment, such as telephones, copier, fax machine, E-mail, etc.
