Job Description
Children’s Recovery Center (CRC) is looking for a motivated Senior Recovery Support Specialist to join our expanding team. These positions provide direct care to adolescent consumers of behavioral health treatment in an inpatient care setting, monitoring recovery progress toward treatment goals, de-escalation activities, participation in recovery, wellness, and social skills groups, and developing and managing other group activities. They also provide culturally competent support and trauma-informed care in order to maintain a safe, respectful and therapeutic environment. These positions will also be responsible for providing leadership and support to the shift of direct care staff.
About the facility: Children’s Recovery Center of Oklahoma (CRC) is in Norman, Oklahoma, and serves all 77 counties in Oklahoma as the Department of Mental Health and Substance Abuse Services (ODMHSAS) treatment center for young people ages 12 to 17. CRC provides community crisis stabilization and residential treatment for substance abuse and co-occurring mental health and trauma related conditions.

Minimum Qualifications and Experience:
Bachelor's Degree OR an equivalent combination of education and experience substituting four years of relevant experience for the required bachelor's degree.
Preference may be given for participation in the DMHSAS-sponsored Consumer Recovery Specialist certificate program.
Special requirements:
Requires the possession of a valid U.S. drivers license at the time of appointment
Willing to fulfill any job related travel normally associated with this position
