Purpose of team and role
The QCL Undergraduate (Student Placement) will provide support for Eli Lilly Kinsale quality control laboratory operations and project work within the chemistry and bioanalytical laboratories.
This position is part of the Quality Control Laboratory (QCL) and involves supporting GMP operations according to established quality control procedures. Responsibilities also include evaluating novel raw materials and alternative sources for existing materials. The QCL Undergraduate may support and/or conduct testing and assays on samples submitted by Technical Services and Manufacturing Science (TSMS). Additional support is given for stability studies, the site clearance air monitoring program, as well as utility and environmental monitoring programs. The QCL Undergraduate analyst will assist with analytical testing required for new product introduction, such as method transfer and validation. The laboratory may also provide analytical support for other groups within Eli Lilly, including reference standard characterization, investigative testing, and further stability studies. The role includes assistance in installing and maintaining equipment, managing associated SOPs, and maintaining required quality systems. QCL Undergraduate may also perform additional routine or non-routine assays as requested by different areas of the plant.
Responsibilities:
The QCL Undergraduate is responsible for supporting and conducting various analytical procedures in accordance with current corporate specifications and cGMP’s and for maintaining these SOP’s.
The QCL Undergraduate will be responsible for tabulating and consolidating assay results, lead times and other performance indicators and be capable of presenting informal reports of results to immediate supervision.
