Our Business Lending Team is Hiring!

 Starting pay for this position is $120-130k based on experience.

The primary focus of the Business Lending Manager is to lead and self-originate a variety of business loans in accordance with credit union  policies, procedures and revenue objectives. Responsible for retention and growth of assigned loan portfolio; proactively manages business member relationships.

  • Responsible for obtaining growth goals that include loan growth, deposit growth and annual fee Focus on Business Banking members with revenues up to $25MM and borrowing needs of $100,000 to $3MM.
  • Responsible for the sales process including calling programs targeted at existing and prospective members and well-established centers of influence. Ensures high level of member service  throughout the team.
  • Identifies and actively cross-sells the full suite of credit union products; makes referrals to other lines of business, including but not limited to Retail, Cash Management, Insurance, Wealth  Management, Residential Mortgage, Payroll and Merchant Processing to generate interest and  non-interest income.
  • Acts as coach and mentor to all team members to ensure the retention and professional development of highly valued employees.
  • Oversees deal structuring/negotiation and works closely with Loan Officers on large, more complex transactions and/or relationships requiring special attention.
  • Partners with all credit union departments as appropriate including Retail, Cash Management, Credit, Risk, Insurance, Wealth Management, Mortgage and Loss Mitigation.
  • Provides leadership and direction to a team of Loan Officer(s) and Portfolio Manager(s). Coaches to develop individual performance and career development to ensure engagement.
  • Conducts regular team meetings; may participate in joint calls, branch visits and networking opportunities to offer feedback through management observation.
  • Represents the Credit Union's positive image in the community by serving on boards or as a volunteer in community organizations. Attends outside events as a Credit Union representative for  networking opportunity.
  • An active and supportive member of all internal committees, programs, and initiatives. Continually builds a network of internal and external centers of influence to further enhance the client experience and to exceed customer’s expectations.
  • Ensures compliance with all Credit Union laws, rules, regulations, and prescribed
  • policies/practices/procedures necessary to reduce risk and uphold ethical standards related to and required by one’s duties.

 

 Candidates should have a high school diploma/GED equivalent, college degree preferred. Minimum of 5 years’ experience in commercial lending/business banking. Prior management experience required. Experience to include process driven outbound prospecting and calling. Proven track record of working in partnership to achieve goals. Strong computer and analytical skills. Excellent customer service, communication and presentation skills.
