The Business Analyst System Manager will lead the Business System Analysts (BSA) Team. They will partner with the Project and Process Management team to onboard new third-party vendor solutions, by developing detailed business requirements and conducting UAT Testing. The Manager is responsible for overseeing and developing the Business System Analyst (BSA) staff, and acts as facilitator and a liaison between the business and IT. The Manager is responsible for adhering to the Project Management Office (PMO) framework and protocols. This role also supports system applications that the bank is currently utilizing, such as our core solution. This person will also execute and provide proprietary market research and insights to support internal business clients. Together with other teams across our company, this role will be working on the evolution of all our technological platforms into a multi-asset solution.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
General
- Partner with stakeholders, project, and information technology teams to elicit, analyze and document business and technical requirements and translate into project requirements.
- Collaborate closely with all teams to develop an understanding of organizational processes.
- Develop and maintain documentation for systems, processes, and procedures.
- Collaborate with departments and stakeholders to understand business needs and identify areas for improvement.
- Lead and collaborate across Lines of Business (LOB) for Change Control and User Acceptance Testing (UAT).
- Develop and execute test scripts that fully exercise all functionality, ensure end to end cycle testing is completed and approved for each initiative.
- Create detailed business analysis documents, outlining problems, opportunities, and solutions.
- Monitor system performance, troubleshooting issues, and implementing solutions.
- Partner with business units to document workflow diagrams and processes. Collaborate with the project, business, and technology teams to develop feasibility study and/or Business Case for proposed solutions. Assist in defining scope/objectives, stakeholders, constraints, assumptions, and risks.
- Review and manage vendor communications on enhancements, upgrades, changes, and system outages for systems that are managed by the BSA team. Responsible for opening change tickets for system updates and following the Change Control Process. Ensures the team is following the Change Control Process.
- Demonstrated ability to work independently, collaboratively, or leading a team while remaining agile and flexible in a rapidly changing environment and managing multiple competing priorities.
- Documentation of critical information shared during strategy, design, development, and release meetings of technologies supported.
- Administration and understanding of system documentation including product development schedules, release schedules, bug tracking etc.
- Maintains system protocols by writing and updating internal and external release notes, as well as internal training and process materials even for packaged products.
- Communicate and collaborate effectively with different team members across the business and technology areas.
- Manage resources requirements for the BSA team and assist in cross functional planning.
- Provide BSA reports, to include updates, status, and resolution information to business units (including SLA measurements)
- Ensure participation in business continuity exercises meeting contracted recovery time objectives (RTOs) and recovery point objectives (RPOs) are met.
- Develop and track Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) for the BSA team.
- The ability to present to diverse audiences i.e., senior management, Board of Directors (BOD’s), internal customers, technical staff, etc.
- Assist in providing training and support to end users to facilitate the adoption of new systems.
- Assess future technologies as needed.
