Summary of Job Duties:

This position will assist in the design of age-appropriate curricular resources aligned with Arkansas' Computer Science standards, plan and deliver professional development opportunities for secondary teachers, support ASMSA's spectrum of Computer Science initiatives, and maintain a courseload of 2-3 classes per semester to ASMSA residential students.

Qualifications:

A master’s degree in computer science, mathematics, education, or a related area with at least 18 graduate hours of computer science course work is required, as well as competency in contemporary programming languages and embedded systems. The successful candidate must have the ability to teach concurrent credit computer sciences courses.

Experience using and/or teaching advanced computing topics such as machine learning, artificial intelligence, and cyber security is considered an asset.

Additional Information:

Applicants must demonstrate proficiency in working with gifted students, supporting their peers in professional development, teaching through technology, developing interdisciplinary curriculum, team planning skills, and problem-solving skills congruent to a growing, dynamic academic program within a multidisciplinary institution.

Salary Information:

$53,000-$60,000
