  About this job:
Responsible for overall coordination, status reporting and stability of workforce development services at Community Hubs. Establishes and implements project management methodologies to ensure the success of workforce development for Denver Public School families.

What You'll Do:  
  • Engages in continuous learning for best practices on teaching work skills development.
  • Works collaboratively and cross-functionally with District departments and agencies across Denver to provide a robust
    curriculum of workforce development and facilitate outreach across Denver to develop skill-building programs for participants in
    key industries.
  • Works with families at Community Hubs as a coach for interviewing, resume writing and job searching; supports families with
    obtaining employment in Denver Public Schools by providing individual and group coaching services.
  • Manages day-to-day operations for workforce development, collaborates on outreach for hiring pipelines in key industries and
    within District operations teams, and ensures that skills training aligns with hiring needs.
  • Provides regular status updates of projects and programming to executive sponsors and management including scope, time,
    cost and quality; ensures follow-up on outputs from workforce development programming; and supports data management and
    quality control.
  • Ensures purposeful, positive and professional interactions and relationships with all stakeholders.
  • Supports families with computer basic skills training and citizenship preparation classes in Community Hubs.
  • Other duties as assigned.
What You’ll Need:  
  • High school diploma or equivalent is required.
  • Bachelor's Degree is preferred.
  • A minimum of three (3) years experience working in communities with at-risk youth/adult education, job development and/or
    case management.
  • Knowledge with Google Suite and/or Microsoft Office products including Word, Excel and Outlook.
  • Effective time management and organizational skills.
  • Effective communication skills.
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Effectively handles multiple demands and competing deadlines.
  • The ability to take responsibility for one’s own performance.
  • Work collaboratively with others on a team.
  • High degree of integrity in handling confidential information.
  • Availability to work some weekend and evening events.
  • Bilingual desired.
  • Lead for racial and educational excellence and work to dismantle systems of oppression and inequity in our community, along with believing in and supporting all students so they feel seen and heard with access to high quality education. 
  • Live and work with a permanent home address in Colorado while working with us.  
  • Have the ability with or without accommodations to meet the physical demands of the position.
