Job Description:

Responsible for providing visuals, reports, and analysis on critical business priorities. Engage with BA’s and stakeholders during the requirements process to interpret and translate requirements into effective solutions. Connect to data sources, import data, and transform data for analysis and reporting. Create reports, dashboards, KPIs, and visualizations from data. Design, develop, deploy, and maintain Power BI report solutions. Integrate Power BI reports into other applications as needed. Write and execute moderate to complex ad-hoc queries. This may include connecting to disparate applications, combining data, and massaging to inform key business decisions. Work with the business to define and document requirements and analytical needs, identify data sources, and obtain sign-off prior to development. Ability to interpret results and identify key findings to quantify business value. Provide estimates for analysis, design of queries, interfaces, etc. Test results for accuracy prior to deployment. Continuously improve performance and reliability of reports. Recommend additional options for reporting and analytics. Identify solutions to transform manual solutions (spreadsheets) into more secure/automated solutions like Power Apps/Automate. Set and monitor data integrity protocols.

Minimum Requirements:

Master’s degree or foreign equivalent in Computer Science, Information Systems, Business Analytics, or a closely related field. Must have experience or academic training with the following: Oracle SQL and proficiency with complex data joins; ETL processes; developing visual reports, dashboards, and KPI scorecards; improving and optimizing processes using technology; implementation of appropriate controls in models; working with insurance products, regulations, or insurance company structure including pricing, modeling, valuation, risk management, inforce management, or hedging; applying object-oriented programming skills using VBA or Python; GitHub or similar file/code management software; operating system tasks using Command Line Interface tool; applying waterfall and agile processes and methodologies; and performing text processing task.
