Dickies: Maintenance Clerk
SHIFT: Monday – Friday, 7am – 4:30pm
What will you do?
A day in the life of a Maintenance Clerk at Dickies looks a little like this.
This role serves as the technical "go to" point of contact for maintenance management to keep plant running at peak efficiency. Contributes to continuous improvement of maintenance methods and processes, working with other functions (e.g., maintenance/ engineers). This role acts as a liaison in maintenance to help support internal/ VF safety regulations, conformance of company policies, multi-agency compliance, and maintenance recordkeeping, as well as, point of contact for parts, requests, and work in progress.
Let’s break down that day-in-the-life a bit more.
- Train maintenance teams on new job processes to performance standards.
- Coordinate/communicate with site personnel on status of parts and purchases request.
- Responsible for monitoring and maintaining the IRIS work order system, analyze and produce reports.
- Specify work assignments, maintaining daily status.
- Maintains reports established as critical departmental matrices.
- Maintains work schedule compliance records, PMs, work orders, and maintenance programs.
- Maintain equipment safety records, and working with Safety to maintain IdeaGen, including Action Items and Audits.
- Ensure equipment repair records are maintained in Sprocket.
- Records and maintains control of all inventory items purchased and produced.
- Ensures compliance with established internal control procedures.
- Ensures regular and reoccurring regulatory compliance audits are completed and records are kept.
- Maintains inventory accuracy to department standard by doing stock count on a regular basis
- Establish inventory part locations.
- Communicates with suppliers to obtain prices and specifications. Provides routine administrative support for maintenance procurement of supplies.
What do you need to succeed?
We all have unique skills that we bring to work and celebrate every day. For this role, there are foundation skills you’ll need to succeed and excel. Additionally, while formal education in a related field is great to have, we are most interested in your 1-2 years of experience in a similar role or maintenance department preferred
The foundation skills you will need in this position are:
- Proficient in MS Office Suite including MS Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook
- Ability to write reports, business correspondence and procedure manuals.
- Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from onsite leadership.
- Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume.
- Location requirement: No travel currently associated with the position.
There are also a few skills that are not required but preferred.
- Proficient in MS Office Suite including MS Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook
- Ability to write reports, business correspondence and procedure manuals.
- Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from onsite leadership.
- Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume.
- Ability to solve practical problems where only limited standardization exists.
- Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
- Critically think through complex situation.
- Able to lift 50 lbs.
- Ability to sit, stand, walk, and climb ladders.
- Need to be qualified on any equipment deemed important to job functionality.
