Job Description

The Senior Manager, Technical Product Quality is responsible for translating high-level quality strategies into scalable, actionable initiatives, ensuring that quality is integrated into every stage of the Software Development lifecycle (SDLC). Owns the implementation and continuous improvement of quality frameworks, tools, and standards, enabling teams to adopt best practices while fostering a culture of accountability. The Senior Manager drives measurable improvements in software quality, efficiency, and customer satisfaction through proactive governance, adherence tracking, and cross-functional collaboration.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Owns and drives the execution of quality initiatives, ensuring alignment with strategic goals and measurable improvements in software product quality metrics quarter-over-quarter and year-over-year.
  • Implements, governs, and continuously improves quality frameworks, tools, and best practices to optimize high quality software products.
  • Monitors adherence to quality processes, conducting audits and feedback loops to ensure consistent application and identify areas for refinement.
  • Proactively collaborates with Ed Tech teams to embed quality at every stage of the SDLC.
  • Develops training and enablement programs that empower teams to take ownership of quality within their workflows.
  • Leverages key quality metrics to drive data-informed decisions, identifying trends and prioritizing improvements that reduce defects and enhance product stability.
  • Leads a team of Quality Engineers and Quality Practices & Enablement Managers, fostering a high-performance culture of continuous learning and innovation.
  • Communicates progress, insights, risks, and plans to mitigate said risks to senior leadership, ensuring transparency and alignment on quality goals.

Qualifications

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

  • Strong analytical and data-driven mindset, with experience using quality metrics, KPIs, and insights to drive continuous improvement.
  • Demonstrated ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams, influencing engineering, product, and operational stakeholders to embed quality throughout the SDLC.
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills, with a history of driving cultural change toward a Quality-first mindset.
  • Familiarity with compliance, auditing, and governance processes, ensuring adherence to both internal and external quality standards.

Education          

  • Bachelor’s Degree in related technical field.

Experience

  • 8 years in quality engineering, software testing, or a related field
  • 3 years in a leadership role.
  • Proven experience leading quality initiatives at scale, with a strong track record of driving measurable improvements in software quality, defect reduction, and process efficiency.
  • Experience with test automation strategies, software testing methodologies, and CI/CD integration, ensuring scalable, high-velocity quality operations.
