JOB DESCRIPTION AND POSITION REQUIREMENTS:

The Penn State College of Medicine, Department of Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation in Hershey, PA is seeking an Assistant Professor non-tenure track level, to conduct sophisticated experiments and supervise lab staff. The Assistant Professor will work in biomedical engineering, computer science and/or computer engineering with a track record of conducting and publishing research in the study of and application of robotics, technology such as virtual reality (VR) and extended reality (XR) in rehabilitative science and rehab medicine and study of applications of AI/machine learning/deep learning in rehabilitation medicine. The successful applicant will conduct cutting edge research on applying engineering and technology including VR/XR related computer science technology to solve problems in rehabilitation.

This is a limited-term non-tenure line position funded for one year from date of hire, with possibility of refunding.
