Education and Work Experience:
1. Education: High School Diploma or higher
2. Work/Professional Experience:
a. Experience in administrative tasks, customer service and working with a variety of populations.
b. Knowledge of housing resources, subsidy programs, and the Continuum of Care preferred but not required.
c. Knowledge of low-income housing resources a plus.
Requirements:
• 2 plus years of experience in performing administrative functions.
• Knowledge of basic accounting principles
• Self-directed and motivated with strong computer and communication skills.
• Ability to prioritize and organize tasks effectively.
• Good interpersonal skills to communicate with a variety of individuals.
• Willingness to become a HUD certified housing counselor.
• Experience with Microsoft programs preferred.
• Highly organized with exceptional attention to detail
• Evenings and weekends will be included to extend services to working families.
• Participate in related community-based meetings, committees, and groups regarding housing and support services.

Scope of Position:
This position will help initiate and maintain community partnerships that enhance service delivery, including housing or prevention resources for individuals at risk of or experiencing homelessness. The role of this position will be to engage with Homeless Connect clients to facilitate efficient and timely placement during the housing referral process.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
• Answer phones and determine eligibility for the HOME ARP program, or refer to other internal or external services and programs.
• Work in outreach to seek new participants for the HOME ARP program. This may include interacting with the members of the public participating in existing programs (Hot Meals, Food Pantry, etc), or going out of the building to seek potential clients.
• Conduct intake assessments for housing counseling clients, ensuring eligibility for the HOME-ARP Program.
• Manage the waitlist for the HOME-ARP program, referring clients to the appropriate supportive service as space opens.
• Connect every client experiencing homelessness to the Access Point.
• Create and organize counseling packets and maintain client files.
