Purpose of Role

The Supply Planning Lead will manage activities relating to order placement, capacity planning, production tracking and delivery of product across all product categories.  This role will be deeply embedded in UA’s Planning Transformation which includes implementation of systems, enhancing and adjusting key business processes and technical abilities. They will be responsible for driving key KPI’s, helping to establish reporting, analytics and driving continuous improvement within Supply Planning.  This role will support all divisions with centralized functions merging people, process, and systems.  
 

Your Impact

  • Drive analytics and system configuration that aligns with best practices, especially in advanced supply planning & materials planning. 
  • Define, establish, and implement new and improved KPIs that track planning and supply management efficiency across the organization.
  • Extensive knowledge of MRP, supply, demand systems, integration and troubleshooting system results.  
  • Ability to read and translate system results against desired output.  Ability to work with internal and external partners.
  • Support the design and implementation of new processes leveraging new planning software.
  • Establish best practices for key processes across Inventory Management, Supply & Materials Planning, Replenishment & Allocation.  Establish a center of excellence.
  • Run cross functional meetings to internally align Development, Product, Customer Service, Marketing and Planning with clear understanding of the product development process. 
  • Coordinates with Development and Product partners to ensure timelines are clear to execute supply chain needs.
  • Develop and publish KPI dashboards and exception reports to ensure high service level. Action oriented communication driving results through all levels in Supply Chain.
  • A Global role, the Supply Planning Lead will be an expert in planning system usage, cross-functional systems dependencies, and Supply Chain best practices. 
  • The Supply Planning Lead will focus on the creation of and supervising the execution of operational plans. 
  • Execution of both tactical and strategic projects related their business segment. 
  • This person will develop and execute processes to ensure high levels of adherence to Supply Planning KPIs. To do so will require collaboration throughout the entire Supply Chain and the ability to report results to all levels.
  • In the short term, the role would continue to help our current planning system run, operate and be managed efficiently.  
  • The long term would be assisting in the implementation of new planning software and the associated process changes.  
     

Qualifications

  • This role needs to have a knowledge of UA’s Demand/ Supply Calendars, business processes and core functions.  
  • Helping to create content, mitigate constraints within the business and ensure the best use of system, tools, analytics and reporting to scenario plan and drive results.
  • This role should expect to encounter challenges with our current system, the implementation process of a new system as well as help facilitate through data and discussion best practice decisions.  
  • This role will interact with all levels within the Supply Planning organization as well as leadership at all levels within Global Planning.
  • Ability to translate data, issues and drive decision making using data. 
  • Bachelor’s degree required or equivalent Supply Chain experience.
  • 5 Years of Planning or Supply Chain Experience.
