The role

As a Client Services Director you will play a pivotal role in the management of the agency, including internal relationships, client relationships, overall financial management and resourcing. You will enjoy building and maintaining relationships, guiding your agency successfully across a full spectrum of medical communication projects.

The right candidate will show strong leadership skills and demonstrate commercial acumen. You will enjoy mentoring senior and junior colleagues, supporting both client services and scientific services, giving direction to your agency and helping to secure new business opportunities.

Requirements

• Minimum of 10+ years experience of working in full-service global medical communications agencies
• Well-rounded experience across the spectrum of Medical Affairs and Publications
• Strong financial management and good commercial experience
• Experience of growing, developing and guiding high performing teams
• Line management and mentoring experience
• Ability to develop, lead and implement business growth strategies
• Experience of leading high profile, large new business pitches
• Excellent client relationships at a senior level
• Breadth of experience across therapeutic areas and types of client (showing a geographical and healthcare market mix)
• Awareness of different healthcare markets
• Ideally, a life sciences degree, preferably combined with a Master’s or PhD, or other relevant qualification
