The Partner Finance Operations Analyst is responsible for the calculation, claiming and internal reporting of payments and credits Insight earns from partners, including partner fees, special bid rebates, volume incentive programs and shared marketing expense agreements. The position serves as a liaison between Finance and various departments, including Accounts Receivables, Product Management, Marketing, Profitability, Operations, Commissions, Services and Sales. This position focuses on the management and financial recognition of complex partner programs. This is a dynamic and high profile position requiring the successful candidate to utilize a broad range of analytical, process, operational and communication skills, combined with strong business acumen.
What you’ll do at Insight

Support and advise Product Management, Marketing and Special Costing departments in order to understand and operationally execute partner and internal objectives in order to maximize the profitability of partner funding programs and the accuracy of internal financial projections.

Review and analyze the terms and conditions of various partner funding programs.

Coordinate and review the implementation of partner funding programs to ensure the completeness and accuracy of the funding as recorded in the general ledger.

Identify and research incorrect or incomplete data within SAP relating to the set up and reporting of data relating to partner funding.

Proactively claim, collect, reconcile and document the status of partner receivable balances, or assist AR team in these endeavors if applicable.

Establish and cultivate relationships with Insight’s partners to drive timely resolution of outstanding receivables.

Apply the principles of generally accepted accounting principles to properly record and recognize partner funding, depending upon the program.

Efficiently prepare and document partner funding related journal entries and reconciliations, which affect cost of goods sold and receivables.

Identify opportunities for process improvement.

Prepare client credits as required.

Manage and communicate expiration of contracts to appropriate sales personnel and follow them through renewal or completion.

Various ad-hoc reporting and special projects as assigned.

Assist in the month end partner accounting close reconciliations, etc.

Assist with internal and external audit requests related to responsibilities.
What you’ll need to join Insight

Bachelor’s Degree (Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting / Finance, a plus)

Interpret and analyze contract/program terms and conditions.

Advanced MS Excel skills.

Strong analytical skills.

Working Knowledge of SAP (or other large ERP systems) a plus.

Attention to detail.

Experience manipulating and analyzing large volumes of data.

Excellent oral and written communication skills, ability to communicate effectively with various organizational levels.
