Senior Game Designer

The best of Magic Media’s teams are known for their strong initiative, not just in taking care of their day-to-day responsibilities but in helping identify ways to build, grow, and improve.</p><p>We are currently seeking a generalist game designer that can perform at a wide variety of game genres, platforms and target audiences and who is able to carry a project’s game design by handling most of the different game design fields.<br/></p><p>The person should be capable of working on multiple projects and cooperating with Producers, Customers, and other Stakeholders -internal and external- in a fast-paced international environment.</p><p><br/></p>Skills<ul> <li>Ability to create thrilling games that fit our client’s vision and provide solutions that match industry standards</li> <li>Game theory and game mechanics design</li> <li>Create detailed documentation of the Game’s Design both for Clients and for developers</li> <li>Design game mechanics, systems, levels, UX/UI, game economy and everything that the game may need</li> <li>Perform in-engine balancing, tweaking and polishing tasks related to game designs</li> <li>Strong mathematical skills, with emphasis on Statistics and Probability; being able to formulate indexes to identify strengths and weaknesses of the economy design in the game</li> <li>Experience designing Game Systems that efficiently achieve specific goals</li> <li>Ability to create effective and well-documented wireframes for UX/UI</li> <li>Work within a multidisciplinary team towards shared goals</li> <li>Estimate, prioritize and coordinate game design activities</li> <li>Coach teammates in game design tasks</li> <li>Communicate and cooperate with Customers and other Stakeholders</li> <li>Participate in different Design Department activities to collaborate and coordinate with fellow game designers</li> <li>Solid organizational skills including attention to detail and multi-tasking skills</li> </ul><p><strong>Requirements</strong></p><ul> <li>4+ years of in professional Game Design experience</li> <li>Experience with Unreal Engine is considered a plus</li> <li>Experience working on a live product</li> <li>AA/AAA experience will be valued</li> <li>An understanding of how to work within the deadlines of a live game</li> <li>Interpersonal skills: collaborative, supportive, and compassionate.
