This project focuses on integrating technological capabilities within a secure multi-domain architecture, enabling seamless and policy-compliant data transfer across classification boundaries. The ideal candidate will provide strategic technical guidance, develop innovative architectures, and ensure the solution meets rigorous security, performance, and operational requirements.
Key Responsibilities:
- Serve as the principal SME and technical advisor for the design and architecture of next-generation CDS integrating advanced DSP technologies.
- Lead the development of system architectures that securely and efficiently enable cross-domain data flows involving digital signals and sensor data.
- Define technical requirements, system interfaces, and security controls in compliance with IC policies (e.g., ICD 503, CNSSI 1253) and NSA-approved CDS frameworks.
- Collaborate with multi-disciplinary teams including cryptographers, signal processing engineers, network engineers, and cybersecurity personnel to drive integrated system designs.
- Evaluate emerging technologies and methodologies in DSP, secure data transfer, and cross-domain architectures to inform innovative solution approaches.
- Provide expert guidance on risk management, threat modeling, and mitigation strategies related to cross-domain DSP data exchange.
- Lead design reviews, technical assessments, and provide authoritative recommendations on system enhancements and scalability.
- Develop and review documentation such as Concept of Operations (CONOPS), System Security Plans (SSP), interface control documents (ICDs), and architectural diagrams.
- Mentor and advise junior engineers and technical staff on best practices in CDS design and DSP integration within classified environments.
- Support program leadership in technical decision-making and contribute to strategic planning for future cross-domain capabilities.
Required Qualifications:
- Active TS/SCI with CI (must be adjudicated and in scope).
- Bachelor’s degree in Systems Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or related technical discipline (or equivalent experience).
- 10+ years of experience in systems engineering, with extensive expertise in designing secure systems for the Intelligence Community or DoD.
- Recognized SME in Cross-Domain Solutions (CDS) design and implementation, preferably with hands-on experience integrating NSA-approved CDS technologies.
- Proven ability to architect secure, multi-domain systems that comply with IC security policies and risk management frameworks.
- Experience working with IC directives and cybersecurity frameworks, including ICD 503, CNSSI 1253, and RMF.
- Demonstrated leadership and advisory skills, including mentoring engineers and guiding cross-functional teams through complex technical challenges.
- Excellent communication skills, capable of translating complex technical concepts into clear, actionable guidance for diverse stakeholders.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Advanced degrees or certifications in signal processing, systems engineering, cybersecurity, or related fields.
- Prior experience with classified sensor systems, secure communications, and real-time data processing in IC or DoD environments
