The Bureau of Field Operations is responsible for the survey and certification process of health care facilities across the State of Florida.

These surveys ensure that all state licensed, and federally certified health care facilities meet the established state and/or federal requirements and patients and residents receive safe, quality health care.

Field Operations staff also ensure the safety of residents in health care facilities when emergencies such as natural disasters occur.

 

The Work You'll Do:

Under the direct supervision of the General and Operations Manager I, the incumbent is responsible for providing independent and complex administrative and consultative support for data collected and used for survey and certification (S&C) activities and timelines within the Division of Health Care Policy and Oversight (HCPO), Bureau of Field Operations, Survey & Certification Support Branch.

 

Position Overview:

Provides direction, guidance, and instruction to HCPO staff in the management and operation of data reports, using a variety of software tools to create and refresh existing reports, and create simple to moderately complex queries.

This may include Tableau, SSRS, QCOR (Quality, Certification and Oversight Reports), SPIRIT (State Performance Integrated Reporting and Intelligence Tool), CASPER (Certification and Survey Provider Enhanced Reporting), SAS, SQL, & Survey Monkey.

Analyzes data for outliers, working with others to ensure corrections are made, and ensuring data is validated before release.

 

Assists in the generation of reports required under CMS SAPR (State Agency Performance Review)/SPSS (State Performance Standards System) to monitor federal performance requirements.

Conducts training for HCPO staff, as required. Shares best practices for performance improvement.

 

Identifies statewide operational problems and handles routine activities related to S&C data systems and activities.

This includes maintaining passwords for accounts that feed data into the DataMart, maintaining backup tapes, and activities related to system downtime or failed data refreshes.

 

Reviews administrative policies, procedures, guidelines, and related protocols to be implemented; evaluates impact on operations; identifies potential problems; recommends appropriate action.

 

Consults and collaborates with staff members to develop solutions for programmatic operational problems, especially those related to data integrity, inconsistencies, and outliers.

 

Performs other duties as required.
