Perform administrative duties for the Sheriff’s Office Testing Center to include remote and in-person proctoring of pre-employment testing, coordination of language incentive qualification testing for employees, entry of testing results within computer-based systems, and providing human resources (HR) support duties as needed. The candidate must be able to obtain Pearson Vue Authorized Test Center (PVATC) Exam Certification within the first two weeks of hire and obtain recertification on an annual basis.Job Description
Duties & Responsibilities
Note: Depending on assigned responsibilities, employees may perform some or all of the duties below.
Administer (e.g., remotely, in-person) and proctor (e.g., in-person) required pre-employment tests for various paid and non-paid Sheriff’s Office positions while maintaining test security.
Coordinate in-person language incentive qualification test sessions with employees.
Analyze and record all test results and then move candidates to appropriate statuses within the WorkDay Recruitment module; enter data into automated systems used by ESS.
Work with appropriate entities (e.g., information technology, third party vendors, HR staff) to troubleshoot software and hardware issues within the testing center and resolve them within a timely fashion.
Provide updates to internal and external audiences regarding test center activities (e.g., general hours, closures, issues) in order to communicate information to staff, employees, and the public.
Respond to questions concerning the testing center and/or human resources transactions.
Act as a resource for hiring managers and internal and external candidates for general information and routine testing center and/or HR business processes.
Establish and maintain human resources files and associated records and systems in order to provide documentation of activities and comply with agency and/or department records management operating policies and procedures.
Perform other related duties as required.

Ability to use a computer and related software.
Ability to evaluate applicant's information to determine qualifications.
Ability to complete personnel action requests to achieve the desired organizational and/or staffing change. Ability to type may be required.
Minimum Education & Experience
A high school diploma or possession of a GED certificate.
One year of human resources related experience.
OR
An associate’s degree from an accredited institution of higher education.
6 months of human resources related experience.
OR
A bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution of higher education.
Required Pre-Employment Testing
Completion of pre-employment testing.
Additional Job Requirements
Attendance at the specified Sheriff's Office work location is required.
Depending on assignment, employees may be required to possess a valid Florida Driver License at time of employment. Driving history will be thoroughly reviewed and may be grounds for disqualification.
