Contract Outpatient Therapist

Description

Outpatient Therapist provides comprehensive clinical assessments, treatment plan development and implementation, outpatient counseling, group counseling, and advocacy for in-office and community-based services.  This position will work with consumers, families, and natural supports to provide the following: service coordination; crisis assessment and intervention; symptom assessment and management; individual counseling and psychotherapy; substance abuse treatment; work-related services; activities of daily living services; social, interpersonal relationship, and leisure-time activity services; support services or direct assistance to ensure that individuals obtain the basic necessities of daily life; and education, support, and consultation.  

Requirements

•  North Carolina Licensed (LCSW, LCMHC, LMFT, PHd) required or eligible for North Carolina Licensure 
• Master’s degree in a relevant human services field such as Social Work, Counseling, Psychology, Family Therapy from an accredited school of graduate education required. 
• At least two years of experience providing assessments, and psychotherapy, with adults and adolescents who possess complex behavioral health issues required preferred. 
• Previous work completing diagnostic assessments as part of a multidisciplinary diagnostic team preferred. 
• Certification in EMDR a plus. 
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills; able to communicate effectively and respectfully with consumers with varying beliefs, behaviors, orientations, identities, and cultural backgrounds 
• Experience across multiple languages and cultures, particularly with refugees or immigrant populations with diverse cultural and socioeconomic backgrounds.
• Familiar with Microsoft 365 products, SharePoint, and virtual meeting platforms (Teams/Zoom)
