The Role:
We are seeking a people-first passionate, and detail-oriented HRBP Director to work in our fast-paced environment. This individual will be a part of a growing company as a critical partner within the People Team supporting our corporate teams. You should be ambitious, diligent, solutions-oriented, resourceful, and passionate about driving a unique culture in a results-driven tech company environment.
This role is a highly visible role in providing the vision, direction, strategy, tactics, and operational excellence to support our corporate leadership teams. You will counsel all levels from entry level to senior leaders on all HR matters, help them analyze problems and create solutions in a complex, changing environment. Your HR leadership will impact employee engagement, employee culture, performance, and critical talent planning to help grow the business and maintain a competitive advantage in the marketplace.
What You Will Do
- Act as a trusted advisor to senior leaders and management teams, providing insights and counsel on HR strategies and solutions to support business objectives.
- Drive the HR and people strategy within assigned line of business, identifying areas of opportunity and focus
- Help the assigned leader provide employees with development opportunities, and ensure that they can meet current and future performance standards
- Partner with Centers of Excellence to develop customized and innovative customer solutions
- Facilitate long-term initiatives aligned with business goals
- Analyzes trends and metrics in partnership with the HR group to deliver solutions, programs, and policies
- Maintains in-depth knowledge of legal requirements related to day-to-day management of employees, reducing legal risks, and ensuring regulatory compliance, partnering with the legal department, as needed
- Provides day-to-day performance management guidance to line management (e.g. coaching, counseling, career development, disciplinary action)
- Works closely with management and employees to improve work relationships, build morale, and increase productivity and retention
- Manages employee relations including HR policy guidance and interpretation
- Provides guidance and input on business unit restructures, workforce planning, and succession planning
- Identifies training needs for business units and individual executive coaching needs
- Participate in evaluation and monitoring of training programs to ensure success, follows up to make sure training objectives are met
- Support the performance management process, including setting up performance goals, feedback systems, and reviews to ensure employee and company growth
- Identify leadership development needs and create development plans for emerging leaders and key talent
- Build succession plans to ensure future leadership readiness as the company scales.
Who You Are
- 7-10 years of HR experience with at least 3-5 years in a business partner or HR leadership role, ideally in a start-up or high-growth company.
- Proven ability to influence leadership, with the ability to build trust and credibility at all levels of the organization. and drive change in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
- Working knowledge of multiple human resource disciplines, including compensation practices, organizational diagnosis, employee relations, diversity, performance management, and federal and state respective employment law
- Bachelor’s degree preferred
- SHRM Certified Professional (SHRM-CP) or SHRM Senior Certified Professional SHRM-SCP) credential or ability to obtain certification within one year of employment
- Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software
- Ability to comprehend, interpret, and apply the appropriate sections of applicable laws, guidelines, regulations, ordinances, and policies
