Financial Counselor 

📍 Location: Glendale, AZ | 📆 Schedule: Days 
💰 $20.00 - 23.00 Per hour + Full Benefits

As a Financial Counselor, you’ll play a key role in supporting our patients and families by ensuring accurate billing, guiding them through insurance processes, and managing account information with precision and empathy.

Your Role & Impact 

• Collect co-pays, deductibles, co-insurance, and self-pay balances at the time of service.
• Conduct real-time insurance verifications and confirm eligibility for services.
• Assist patients and guardians with Medicaid documentation and application processes.
• Ensure patient information is correctly entered and updated in the system.
• Collaborate with RCM to support proper coding, documentation, and claims submission.
• Track account statuses and follow up on outstanding items in a timely manner.
  
• Answer patient and insurance calls, resolve issues, and offer financial guidance.
• Coordinate with clinical, billing, and insurance departments for seamless operations.
• Work within EHR and billing systems to manage data and maintain financial accuracy.

What We’re Looking For 

✔️ High School Diploma or GED (required) ✔️ 1–3 years of experience in a behavioral health setting preferred
✔️ Level 1 Fingerprint Clearance Card (or ability to obtain upon hire)
✔️ Strong communication, time management, and organizational skills.
✔️ Previous experience in healthcare finance, billing, or patient accounts preferred.
✔️ You handle billing issues and insurance questions with confidence and clarity.
