We are looking for a strategic, hands-on operator to join Brown & Brown Ireland and support our CEO’s senior leadership team. This role is ideal for someone with a background in management consulting, risk advisory, or strategy & operations who wants to take end-to-end ownership of risk, compliance, and operational improvement projects.
You will work closely with the senior leadership team, shaping how we manage risk and governance while driving strategic initiatives across the business. You will have the opportunity to own high-impact projects in risk and compliance.
Key Responsibilities:
Support the implementation of risk, compliance and corporate governance frameworks across the business
Deliver strategic projects from planning to execution, ensuring measurable outcomes
Maintain a robust compliance and risk management framework for personal and commercial lines of business
Review processes, customer files, and agreements to identify operational or compliance improvements
Provide training and guidance to teammates on risk and compliance matters
Provide assistance and expertise as required to other functions including Finance and HR
Assist with mergers, acquisitions, and growth initiatives by providing risk and operational insights
Ensure all compliance principles, policies and procedures are clearly defined and regulatory developments are proactively appraised and communicated
Engage with and respond in a timely manner to any errors and complaints raised by our customers and/or the Financial Services Ombudsman
Act as both Money Laundering Reporting Officer and Data Protection Officer for the Organisation
Present findings, insights, and recommendations to the senior leadership team
Create & deliver the annual compliance plan
Desired Skills and Attributes:
3-5 years + experience in consulting, risk advisory, or strategy/operations (Big 4 or similar preferred)
Previous experience of compliance with exposure to risk management in a regulated / authorised financial services environment
Hands-on, adaptable, and proactive — comfortable executing projects and switching between tasks
Familiar with compliance and regulatory requirements for the general insurance sector not essential but nice to have
Excellent communication and influencing skills, with the ability to translate complex regulations into clear, actionable guidance
Interest in gaining exposure to senior leadership and contributing to company-wide initiatives
