HIGH END OF THE SALARY RANGE IS CONSIDERED FOR THOSE WHO EXCEED QUALIFICATIONS IN A REQUIRED AREA

Soft Tech Consulting is seeking a highly motivated, self-directed individual to fill the role of an IT Operations Manager. The selected individual will join a collaborative team environment where they will provide expertise and guidance to the client leadership and team. The IT Operations Manager plays a key role in client relations. Key to the success of this position is the successful delivery of projects and effective communication to all levels of staff for reporting project status.

Responsibilities

• Serve as central point of contact for any IT Operational issues.
• Ensure stable operation and efficient performance of client's enterprise networks and projects. Monitoring and managing all aspects of IT operations to ensure they meet performance metrics.
• Provide leadership, project and activity planning, coordination, and day-to-day direction as needed, produce required deliverables and meet the relevant operations/project milestones.
• Manage multiple IT teams/managers to include network, system administration, systems security, Tier 1/2 Help Desk with team ranging in size from 5-15 team members.
• Analyze current operations practice to identify areas for improvement and create project management deliverables.
• Provide management oversight of all other contract employees.
• Formulate strategic vision for the IT Operations
• Foster a collaborative environment.
• Work directly with client's program manager and develop an outstanding customer relationship.
• Identify risks and recommend mitigation plans.
• Develop and maintain staffing plan by recruiting and interviewing new contract personnel.
• Other related duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• B.S. in Computer Science or other IT related discipline. (Preferred)
• Certified Project Management Professionals (PMP). (Preferred)
• Minimum 10 years supervising technical teams to maintain reliable and available IT infrastructure and services.(Preferred)
• Excellent organization skills and attention to details.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Must be able to work independently with little to no oversight.
• Minimum DoD interim Secret clearance.
• Candidate must reside within 50 miles of the Nation Capital Region (NCR)/ Washington DC.
