About the Role

As the Director of Cyber Incident Management at Thomson Reuters, you will lead our Enterprise Security Incident Management function, serving as the primary coordinator during major security events and driving continuous improvement of our incident response capabilities.

 

In this opportunity as Director, Cyber Incident Management, you will:

  • Lead incident management coordination through the entire lifecycle, from activation of cross-functional partners through closure

  • Chair incident management calls, ensuring all partners understand the incident, action plans, and their specific roles

  • Meticulously track and document action items, ensuring thorough follow-through on all remediation activities

  • Create comprehensive incident documentation, executive communications, and post-incident reports

  • Partner with security teams to identify and implement cross-functional process improvements

  • Develop and deliver executive-level tabletop exercises to enhance organizational preparedness

  • Coordinate post-incident reviews, capturing lessons learned and tracking long-term remediation activities

  • Operate as part of a 24x7 global incident response team with flexibility for off-hours work when necessary
     

About You

You're a fit for the role of Director, Cyber Incident Management if your background includes:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in Cybersecurity, Information Security, or related field

  • 7+ years of hands-on experience in Cybersecurity incident response, threat management, or security operations

  • Demonstrated expertise in managing security incidents across complex enterprise environments

  • Exceptional documentation skills with proven experience tracking and managing complex action items to completion

  • Strong knowledge of cybersecurity frameworks (NIST, ISO, MITRE ATT&CK) and incident response methodologies

  • Experience leading cross-functional teams during security incidents and crisis situations

  • Exceptional ability to translate complex technical security issues into clear executive communications

  • Meticulous attention to detail and process management in high-pressure environments

  • Strong interpersonal skills with proven ability to influence across multiple stakeholder groups

  • Flexibility for occasional off-hours and weekend work when necessary
