Job Description
The Logistics Driver Supervisor is a crucial support operations position with ultimate responsibility for ensuring timely service and proper transporting of food products, supplies, and equipment. The Logistics Driver Supervisor is responsible for planning, directing, and coordinating all deliveries and pickups to and from locations for catering events, food production and other special events. The position will require a person to be well organized, multi-task, effectively communicate, follow a daily route, manage a team, and complete other job-related tasks.
Job Responsibilities
Leadership
- Use Aramark's coaching model to engage and develop the Logistics Team to their fullest potential.
- Reward and recognize team members.
- Ensure individual and team performance meets objectives and client expectations.
- Plan and lead daily team briefings.
- Ensure safety and sanitation standards in all logistics and operations.
Client Relationship
- Identify client needs and communicate operational matters to management.
Compliance
- Ensure the entire team is trained and able to implement.
- Ensure the team have proper gear, supplies and equipment.
- Ensure a safe and healthy environment for the team and client.
- Follow all applicable policies, rules, and regulations.
- Follow all rules of the road to ensure the safety of oneself, other people, equipment, and vehicles.
- Monitor and document team members’ performance, and ensure all applicable policies, procedures, rules, and regulations are followed.
- Adhere to Code of Conduct, Uniform Guidelines, Safety Standards, and Accident Reporting Procedures.
Productivity
- Bring value through efficient logistics and operations.
- Work closely with management on planning, directing, and coordinating deliveries and pickups.
- Coordinate daily work schedules.
- Ensure items are delivered safely to all sites which includes, but is not limited to, schools, daycares, catering venues, the office, and other designated locations as needed.
- Ensure the team maintains clean and orderly vehicles, and dock and storage areas after unloading items.
- Maintain vehicle records and inform management of any necessary repairs.
- Maintain personal appearance by always being well-groomed in a clean uniform when reporting to work.
- Follow the Operational Excellence fundamentals by meeting and maintaining labor initiatives.
- Be responsive and effectively communicate challenges to management.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Scope

Physical Demands: Ability to stand, walk, kneel, push, pull, and bend throughout work period; ability to lift and carry up to 80lbs; repetitive hand and arm motions.
Work Environment: The noise level in the work environment can vary from minimum to loud.
Extended Hours: Will be required depending on the operations need; contact with water or other liquids or exposure to non- weather-related humid conditions.
Travel: 70% of travel is required.
Qualifications
- Must be age 21 years or older.
- High School Diploma or GED preferred.
- Must have a valid driver's license with excellent driving record.
- Previous experience demonstrating an ability to organize, prioritize, and process information.
- Ability to operate a delivery truck.
- Must have good multi-tasking skills.
- 1 year + professional driving experience transporting, delivering, and unloading items to multiple sites.
- Must have Supervisor/Team Lead experience of 1 year.
- Demonstrated ability to attend to details and creative problem-solving.
- Demonstrated good customer service skills with the ability to think quickly and identify/solve customer concerns.
- Proper phone etiquette.
- Must be able to communicate effectively in writing and speak English.
- Demonstrated knowledge of effective oral and written communication skills.
- Demonstrated knowledge of basic computer skills, including MS Word and MS Excel.
- Ability to work unsupervised in a high-pressure environment.
- Previous experience in a transportation-related dispatch office is preferred.
- Previous experience in office-related work is a plus.
