Overview:
The CDC Foundation is seeking a Viral Hepatitis Program Manager to work with jurisdictional staff to plan, develop, coordinate, monitor, and evaluate the statewide response to viral hepatitis, particularly hepatitis B and C, and to control and prevent the spread of viral hepatitis and related sequelae.

Qualifications:
· Bachelor's degree from an appropriately accredited institution required and master's degree in public health or health related program is preferred.· Requires prior administrative experience at a state or local level managing infectious disease.· Ability to coordinate and maintain cooperative working relationships with stakeholders, community groups and local health departments.· Skill in program analysis and evaluation.· Self-motivated with exceptional organizational skills and high attention to detail.· Exceptional oral, written, and interpersonal communication skills.· Strong cultural competency and collaboration skills with the ability to work effectively in an environment with diverse cultures, multiple perspectives, and competing needs.· Knowledge and experience in informatics would be an added advantage.

Responsibilities:
· Works with jurisdiction staff to develop and implement/enhance systems and processes to ensure consistent, high-quality project management.· Fosters and maintains peer-to-peer relationships with subject matter experts, donors, partners, and other stakeholders aimed at efficient and effective program implementation.· Prioritizes, implements, and evaluates statewide viral hepatitis program goals and objectives based on viral hepatitis epidemiology or data, guidance from Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, and input from community representatives and stakeholders.· Collaborates with STI, HIV, harm reduction, substance treatment, mental health, homeless services, and other related programs to develop and implements policies, standard operating procedures, rules, regulations, and quality assurance measures for monitoring hepatitis B and C screening and immunization for hepatitis A and B vaccines to at-risk adults, and linkage to care and treatment.· Coordinates with the HIV Prevention, Evaluation, Surveillance, and Direct Services Units and other entities (e.g., STI Section, Center for Minority Health Services, Department of Alcohol and Substance Abuse, Prevention and Care Regional Lead Agents, etc.) on the collection, compilation, and presentation of programmatic information andepidemiological and service delivery data needed by the group to inform the development and update of the elimination plan.· Coordinates the Perinatal Viral hepatitis program for the state of Illinois.· Plans, organizes, and evaluates the goals, objectives, and tasks of the Illinois Viral Hepatitis Coalition and development of the Viral Hepatitis Elimination plan.· Creates and implements programmatic recommendations to the Department and to the Coalition.· Facilitates activities of the Coalition and interacts with the steering committee and co-chair on work group activities in developing goals, objectives and strategies. Plans quarterly/emergency Coalition meetings.· Manages significant matters such as project development, post-award project budgeting, and auditing/evaluating project impact and performance.· Formulates project-related goals, objectives, operating policies, strategic plans, guidelines, governance, standards, add priorities to ensure consistency with departmental standard operating procedures.· Represents the jurisdiction at technical, policy, and strategic planning meetings with internal and external stakeholders and evaluates strategies that meet public health missions and goals.· Support projects that enhance public health/public safety collaborations through the identification of appropriate local partners,
