Description
The Department of Neurosurgery at the Perelman School of Medicine at the University of Pennsylvania seeks candidates for an Assistant Professor position in the non-tenure clinician educator track. Expertise is required in the specific area of brain tumor surgery and brain tumor research. Applicants must have an M.D. or M.D./Ph.D. or equivalent degree. Applicant must be board eligible or certified.
Teaching responsibilities may include the education of medical students, residents, and fellows.
Clinical responsibilities may include the neurosurgical management of brain tumors and oversight of the multi-disciplinary care of brain tumor patients, including clinical trials, with a particular focus on gliomas.
Research or scholarship responsibilities may include translational and/or basic research in brain tumors, with funding from the National Institutes of Health and other federal funding agencies as PI.
