Operating Room Assistant

Stoughton Health has an excellent opportunity for an Operating Room Assistant to join our Operating Room team on a Full-Time basis.

Essential Functions:

• Cleans and maintains various assigned areas
• Surface disinfection or specialty OR equipment
• Maintains supplies and keeps closets and equipment in clean working order
• Assists with patient transport, transfer, and positioning
• Transports equipment, blood, specimens, lab draws, and other items to other hospital departments

 

Position Requirements:

• Required: High School Graduate or Equivalent
• Preferred: Successful completion of the Certified Nursing Assistant program
• Preferred Professional Experience: One-year of previous medical experience in an acute care setting
• Required Certification: Current BLS certification within 90 days of hire
• Preferred Certification: ENPC and TNCC Certification
• Special Requirements: EKG training, Phlebotomy
• Computer Competency: Basic Computer Skills are expected for this position. Access email, reference internal websites, access electronic health records, and use online learning tools to remain current with continuing education requirements.
• Microsoft Office Suite Skills: Beginning Skills – Able to perform basic things such as opening a document, change font, save a document, write a letter.

Work Shift:

• Full-Time, .8 FTE
• 32 hours per week
• Scheduled Days: Monday - Friday, Variable
• Scheduled Shift: 8:00 a.m. - 4:30 p.m.
• On Call Every 3rd Weekend
• Every 4th Weekend
• Every 4th Holiday
