About the role

Human Resources Business Partner (Director) serves as a strategic HR Business Partner to branch leadership, supporting business objectives through effective people strategies. This role provides direct supervision to HR team and delivers consultative guidance on employee relations, performance management, organizational development, and compliance. The position ensures alignment between business goals and HR practices while fostering a positive, high-performance culture across the branches supported.

Key Responsibilities

  • Serve as the primary HR Business Partner for branch leadership
  • Align HR strategies with operational and financial objectives.
  • Partner with Corporate HR Director to support workforce planning, succession planning, and organizational change initiatives.
  • Coach leaders on employee engagement, retention, and performance optimization.
  • Directly supervise and develop Human Resources Generalist.
  • Provide guidance on complex employee relations matters and escalate to Corporate HR Director as appropriate.
  • Partner with leaders on performance management, disciplinary actions, and terminations.
  • Support conflict resolution and promote fair, consistent decision-making.
  • Ensure documentation and practices align with company policy and employment law.
  • Support onboarding effectiveness, recruiting, and retention initiatives.
  • Support change management and organizational transitions.
  • Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws.
  • Guide leaders on policy interpretation and consistent application.
  • Promote company values and a positive workplace culture.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in human resources, Business Administration, or related field preferred.
  • 8+ years of progressive HR experience
  • 3+ years in a leadership role with direct supervisory responsibility.
  • Strong HR Business Partner experience supporting operational leaders.
  • Deep knowledge of employee relations and employment law.
  • Experience supporting multi-site or regional operations preferred
  • SHRM-CP, SHRM-SCP, PHR, or SPHR certification preferred
  • Experience in property management, hospitality, retail, or service-based industries preferred
