What You Will Do:

  • Assembly and Fabrication: Skillfully assemble fabricated parts, components, or units at floor stations using both hand tools and power tools, adhering to product specifications.
  • Testing and Calibration: Conduct precise tests and calibrations on parts and mechanisms to meet strict tolerances and product specifications, ensuring all units function correctly.
  • Repair and Troubleshooting: Identify units that fail tests or tolerance levels and perform necessary repairs. Diagnose and resolve problems through complete operation checkouts, modifications, disassembly, reassembly, and test calibrations.
  • Inspection: Conduct thorough inspections of incoming assemblies/components following established procedures and technical data to ensure quality and compliance.
  • Process Adherence: Follow streamlined repair and return processes to ensure high-quality repairs and minimal cycle time.
  • Facility Setup: Set up necessary repair and test facilities to support efficient workflow and operational excellence.
  • Training: Complete an apprenticeship or training program as required to enhance skills and knowledge.

Qualifications You Must Have: 

  • High school diploma with a minimum of 1 year of relevant experience. In the absence of a high school diploma or GED, 3 years of relevant experience is required.
  • Must be authorized to work in the U.S. without sponsorship now or in the future. Collins Aerospace will not offer sponsorship for this position.
