Key accountabilities:
•    Provides mentorship and technical guidance to team members, sharing best practices and helping less experienced engineers develop their skills. 
•    Builds a collaborative, supportive environment that promotes learning, growth, and shared success.
•    Creates scalable, reliable software architectures that meet both technical and commercial requirements.
•    Adapts solutions to project-specific needs, applies standard processes, and identifies when patterns are appropriate or should be avoided.

•    Acts as a point of contact within their technical domain, demonstrating significant depth of knowledge. 
•    Utilises existing design patterns to develop reliable solutions, while also recognising when to adapt or avoid patterns to prevent anti-patterns.

Requirements

Min 3 years experience Pyspark and Python and familiarity with a variety of development technologies with emphasis on ELT.

•    Significant experience in solution architecture and technical design, 
•    Proven experience in data modelling and database design .
•    Knowledge of industry standard processes in data management.
•    Proficient in quality assurance practices, including code reviews, automated testing, and best practices for software testing. 
•    Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field is essential.

•    Knowledgeable in integrating diverse systems and technologies, enabling seamless interaction across our technical environment. 
•    Experienced in implementing and optimising CI/CD pipelines, including the use of automation tools to streamline development, testing, and deployment. Skilled at setting up processes that enable rapid, reliable releases, minimising manual effort and supporting agile development cycles.
•    A master’s degree or equivalent experience or relevant certifications (e.g., Certified Software Development Professional, AWS Certified Solutions Architect) is advantageous, demonstrating a commitment to technical excellence and professional development.
